Web Casting of Council Meetings

As Chairman of the Governance Committee I was involved in the decision making process regarding the Protocol for Web Casting Council Meetings.
On 23rd September 2008, the Governance Committee approved a report that recommended: 'That the protocol detailed in the report be adopted and that Members be guided by it during the web casting of meetings'.
A pilot project of web casting meetings will commence on 9th October 2008 and end in June 2009 that will include the following meetings:-
Full Council, Cabinet, Planning Committee, Overview and Scrutiny meetings and other meetings as will be agreed by the Governance Committee.
