Sackville/Blatchington Road traffic lights

Just a quick update on traffic issues in the Ward following the Parking Summit which Denise and I organised on 7th February. I know that some residents still have concerns about the Sackville Road traffic lights at the junction with Blatchington Road. I have been advised by officers that a monitoring study has now been commissioned and hopefully a report will be ready in about a month's time (sometime during May). I will keep you informed of the outcome of this but in the meantime if you have any other queries, please do let me know - brian.oxley1@mac.com

JourneyOn - making travelling easier!

As the Easter holidays are now upon us and people will be wanting to get around the City to visit friends/family or take in some of the excellent local attractions, I thought it might be useful to flag up the Council’s JourneyOn website.

JourneyOn has real time bus and traffic information and shows the best routes for all modes of transport in the City, including walking and cycling. It even works out the cost, time, carbon dioxide emissions and calories burned for your journey! I would encourage you all to have a look.
