Rollout of National free bus travel - delays in passes being received

A number of residents, who are eligible for the national concessionary bus fare scheme have been in touch with the Council asking when their new passes are going to be received. Along with many other councils both in Sussex and nationally, there have been delays outside the control of councils, for getting such a large volume of brand new passes out to eligible residents..

The good news is that the Council has now confirmed that all our passes were posted out to customers by 31 March. Some clearly went out before then  as some phone calls from customers have advised. The Council is now getting calls from customers advising us their passes have arrived. We expect that they should all arrive in the new few days.

This doesn't include people who have only applied recently for whom we have alternative arrangements.

Ward Advice Surgeries

This month's Westbourne Ward advice surgeries are on the 5^th April at the Talk Shop on Tamworth Road (from 10-11am) and on the 9^th April at Hove Museum from 5-6.30pm.
