Crime Prevention
Made the news pages of the Argus yesterday with a photo of me presenting awards to two Whitehawk residents for their work in ending the sale of BB guns at the racecourse markets. I have just taken over from Des Turner MP as Chair of the Whitehawk Crime Prevention Forum and the Home Office "Taking A Stand" award is one of the Forum's recent successes.
On Friday I will be attending the unveiling of a bus named in memory of Janet Turner, the former secretary of the Forum and well known for her work on the council's planning committee as an advocate for disability rights, who died last year.
