Anne Meadows
I have been married for almost 28 years to Tony and have two young boys, Harry and Scott. I was born and bred in Brighton and am proud to be one of the few councillors who are from Brighton! I was first elected in 1994, while I was pregnant with my second child!
You can read about my main council roles by looking at the list under my photo. I am presently the Chair of the Adult Social Care & Housing Overview and Scrunity Committee , ASCHOSC for short which looks at all issues and policies the council make and will make regarding social care for adults within the city. We also look at housing issues and policies which may encompass council owned properties, social housing with housing associations and those in the private sector.
I am on the Board of East Brighton Trust, a Governor on two schools in the area. Moulsecoomb Primary School and Coombe Road Primary School. I am a committee member of Friends of Wild Park and I support Friends of Saunders Park. I help organise Moulsecoomb Family Fun Day. I am also on the committee of St Georges Hall and attend many other meetings in the area including tenant and resident associations.
